People think that blacktop is unyielding, but if you’re precise, if you’re focused and calm, it can give your car wings.
Cale Kanke resides in Frazier Park, CA. He has been racing for thirteen years now, ranging from Legend Cars to IMCA Sport Modifieds to Car 33 in the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour.
It’s only natural for Cale to be developing as a third generation driver out of his family background. When he was very young, he could often be found hanging around in his dad’s garage while the team would be there prepping the Southwest Tour car for the next race. As he got older, his own interest in racing began to take hold with the purchase of a Legend car, one that he had to completely assemble himself with almost no help at all. Cale also became a member of the RPM Motorsports team when he wasn’t busy with his own racing, helping his dad win a few races here and there. After gaining some experience with his Legend Car and winning a few races along the way, Cale decided to give dirt racing a try. Upon finding a car for sale, he traveled out to the Midwest with his Grandpa Darrell, and together they trailered home a used IMCA Sport Mod, which he still has to this day. Cale has enjoyed a fair amount of success with his dirt car so far, and it looks like he’s ready to break out and start winning some main events in the near future.
Cale’s overall experience in both Legend and IMCA cars has propelled him into the driver seat of the Southwest Tour car that his dad drove successfully for more than 30 years. Cale has also found time here and there to go back East and help Willy Allen with his W.A.R. Shocks Super Late Model program. Together with some outstanding support from Willy, the Rpm Motorsports team is working on helping Cale find a way into Victory Circle with the Tour Car in the near future.
